change the app to run in compatibility mode for Windows8ġ1. (Admin Templates > Windows Components > RDS > RDS Client > Turn off UDP on client) as recommended somewhere (Citrix forums maybe?)ġ0. Port forwarding on the router for the above ports to the PCĩ. Opened firewall ports specific to Citrix as advised in their technical guide (UDP 14)Ĩ. changed network connections (ethernet to wifi)Ħ. disabled anti-malware (Sophos) / added Citrix folders to the exception pathsĥ. Things I've tried and I get the same outcome:Ģ. I have 4ms ping and download/upload speeds that present no problem with any other application or device on my network (Teams, Zoom, VMWare, PS4 gaming.) My PC is connected via a 1GB ethernet wired connection to my Synology RT2600ac router, which then is connected to my 1000/100 business-grade fibre connection (I'm a freelance contractor and use this as part of my work). I have been searching the internet for fixes over the past couple of weeks and tried loads of stuff but the freezing session happens every time. I've used Wireshark to look at network activity and I can see that my desktop and the Citrix server are communicating, even though the screen is frozen for me and I see no inputs taking effect. Whereupon I can continue where I left off and then it freezes again for me. The only way to resolve it is to disconnect and reconnect the session. My personal desktop PC runs Win10 Pro and whenever I log into my client's instance of Citrix, it loads the screen, I get to click a couple of times and move about the desktop or whichever window is showing, and then it freezes. I have an ongoing problem that's driving me up the wall and wonder if anyone has a "magic fix" that might be something simple I've overlooked.
